I was a guest on Jefferson Public Radio's Jefferson Exchange Today

Podcast

You can listen to my first podcast
which is also the first podcast of JPR by clicking here.
Requires Quicktime? It's a Mpeg 4 Audio File. Running time about 45 minutes. 45 Megabytes.

You can also load it into iTunes by copying and pasting this next line into the podcast subscribe.

feed://homepage.mac.com/jimteece/JeffersonExchange.xml

I'm still learning the process and will fix all the quirks soon and automate this for JPR fans to be able to subscribe to the Exchange on a daily basis.

Canada among the worst polluting nations in the industrialized world

Environmentalist David Suzuki discusses a report released by the David Suzuki Foundation at a news conference in Ottawa, Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. The new study ranks Canada among the worst polluting nations in the industrialized world, according to 29 key environmental indicators.

and here is the real report - great read

The only country worse then Canada was of course USA. Turkey was listed as Number 1. Didn't half our country move to Canada after the last election?
Wow!

I'll need to talk to my buddy Had about this. Stay tuned for more.

Apple Does it Again!

Apple Does it Again! and its only 5 weeks since the last time.
Yesterday Apple Stock fell.
Two reasons.
1. Record Profit. iPod Based. Lower Mac Sales.
2. Why? the Osborne Effect. Remember with Osborne announced the osborne two. well it killed sales of the osborne one and in the end killed the company before the two could come out. compaq was the benefactor from all this. when apple announced going to intel, many people are waiting to buy. I was. so sales are lower.
so stock fell.
but today
apple announced at the wildly hyped event "one more thing" with invites sent weeks ago,
which was in 3 acts.
 Act 1. A new Imac.

new iMac G5
with three very cool parts. part 1. thinner. part 2. built in isight (video conferencing out of the box) and part 3. Front Row media Experience. Now you get a remote control to look at photos, listen to music and watch videos on your imac. SWEET! Best way to watch movie trailers. I cant wait to get my hands on it. New Software called Photo Booth will be a huge hit!
 Act 2. A new Ipod.

new iPOD
5 weeks ago Apple replaced the wildly successful iPOD mini with the nano, well today they replaced the iPOD with a new Video IPOD. the capability to play movies on your ipod is not what makes this significant, its that you can download tv shows like LOST the day after they air onto your iPOD for $1.99 an episode. As Mr. Jobs stated, this is the beginning of something wonder. We are not in Kansas anymore.
Act 3. A New iTunes.

 iTunes 6.0
iTunes 5.0 launched 5 weeks ago with the nano and cell phone, well here is iTunes 6.0, with Video, Gifting Capability, User Reviews and Pixar(of course) shorts and Music Videos for only $1.99 as well.

The Encore was an amazing performance by wynton marsalis which more than made up for the vulgar crap they had during the nano release.

Its going to be a Apple Christmas! Again! ;)

Weekend Coast Trip was Great!

We went to discover Oregon's Dunes. We have lived here for so long and we had never taken the time to see them. Now that we are ATV'ers, we needed to find a place...

Some Pics are online.

(Image attached is of a site map and redesign I came up with for the new ASD site and all other Ashland Comm. Sites. (this was on first day of trip - i cant relax until day 3))
